White Winter

In my last month's post, I spoke about the upmcoming winter.

I had a chance to click a few pictures of snow due to an ice storm this weekend. The lake at my apartments froze. My Shoes got wet as I stepped into the snow.

When I came back home after a week's vacation, the water pipes froze. Unaware of it, I turned the heater ON that caused the ice in the water pipes ( the water in the pipes froze and thus, formed the ice) to expand and thus, making the water pipe break at 4 different points!

Well, the winter is rolling over, and we haven't had any sleet conditions yet.
Infact, I had few breath taking moments looking at the white beauty after the snow storm today.

Here are few of my captures for you:

A bush being drowned in the snow, takes a breath when the sun shone upon it the next day

The Swimming pool hand rails serves in the summer for a grip to get in and out of the pool, and in the winter for a grip to stop skidding on the ice sheets, if you ever plan to take a little walk.

Unlike the saying that suggests to have faith and guts to take untrodden path which is the first and foremost step for an invention, it is better to take a trodden path if you would love to reach home safely during a storm with all your limbs intact.

A snow man with sticks for hands and carrots for eyes ( may be for a better eyesight as my fiancee quotes ;-) ) sun bathing...

Phew!! Talk about living at north!
