As white as clouds,

As slippery as grease,

As shiny as glass,

As fluffy as fleece

Melting away with ease

Reflecting sky and trees

Crunching underfoot

Cracking water pipes

Soaking socks

Sending shivers

Down the spine

and chills through the heart

Breaking branches, carpeting valleys

Decking the mountains, sailing the oceans

At midnight, flaky showers

In sunlight, glinting flowers

It is a cold, bright world

A silent, holy world

A magical, white world.
