Spread love not Corona

The dark and scary days just creeped in. All of a sudden. Corona have stopped people in their tracks. It might have caused social distancing but not at hearts. Spread love not virus this Spring 2020 by putting up thank you posters for the service workers, calling and connecting with near and dear through phones and facetimes and meditating for world peace through zoom and skype calls.

Here is our share of thanking people - Health care workers, Delivery services , Trash collection services without which social distancing/ staying safe at home/ recovery for those affected is not possible.


It has been a month since I had to visit a grocery store. Thanks to UPS, USPS and Fedex who has been delivering our needed items from Amazon. People stood outside on their porch, in their balconies, decks and clapped and cheered for the service workers on March 28th and 29th weekend. This art was done in our drive way as part of the cheering. This was carried out in India and other countries too.

Instacart has helped a lot delivering the groceries from the local grocery stores. Special Thanks to Wegmans and stores alike that have placed a restriction on the number of toilet paper cases , and cleaning supplies that one can purchase at a time ensuring fair distribution of the much needed items. The grim silence and situation strike a great resemblance to the likeness of the initial days when people were wary of each other as described in Anne Frank's dairy, to the Planet of Apes part 2 that I recently watched (and quite shocked that this situation designed as a fiction turned out to be a prediction).

Pennsylvania has upped the game by declaring work from home since the mid of March at the sign of the first Corona virus in the region. The other states are taking precautions to avoid the situations that NY, CA and Italy has ended up in.  A lot of companies has taken upon them to manufacturing ventilators to meet the needs of the virus. people are resorting to various ideas that will give them peace in this dire situation - Prayers to god, home remedy treatments like having ginger and pepper, lots of vitamin C , meditation etc.

Yet, the blooming cherry Blossoms, the birds flying and chirping at the arriving Spring,people supporting and helping each other still maintaining the safe distance giving hope for the humans.
