This blog post may not be much informative as many of us are familiar with most of the terms listed below. But, then why the post? There are pretty little things in the world which we fail to observe or give a thought to many times. This is one such attempt to notice the tiny winter beauties around us...
Snow
- is a soft particle falling from the clouds that transforms Earth into a white heavenly abode with its shines.It is powdery and will cause a burning sensation if held in bare hands for a while.Sometimes, if there is a snow hazard or freezing warning, it is better to keep the faucets turned ON a little such that the water drips continuously to stop it from freezing in the pipes.
Snow flake
- is usaully formed by water droplets falling from the clouds freeze due to temperatures below freezing point i.e. 0 degree C. Gemometrical and gives super ideas for kaleidescope. I once found a flake on my window balcony in the shape similar to the picture so tiny and geometric. It melted as I touched it.

Sleet
- every driver's night mare :-), A mixture of rain and snow that makes ice to freeze causing quite slippery conditions. The ice freezed on car windows, and glass needs to be scraped for visibilty. pouring of hot water and scrapers might help. Hazardous to walk or drive.
White Christmas
- If by the Christmas day, the whole ground is covered by snow, it is considered a joyful sign and pleasant. Such a christmas day celebrated covered in snow is termed as White christmas.The above picture shows a sunny christmas day totally covered with snow.
Antartica
- one of the coldest regions, located at south pole. Covered in snow all the time, round the year.

Eight below
- An awesome movie on Alaskan malamute dogs that survived on their own in the snow without human care.
Snowman
-A sculpture being made from snow for fun.Some make balls too and hit each other with it. Shovel,bucket and thick gloves are some of the necessary accessories required to make a huge one.
