I have tasted different kinds of tea. Caffeine is not to my taste and I did some research about what the naturally decaffeinated tea stands for and how it is different from herbal tea.
Basically there are 2 types of tea.
Type 1 - The Real or "Actual" tea is made out of the leaves of Camellia Sinensis plant. The variations of caffeine level in the tea determine the different kinds of tea.
(A) Black tea that undergoes complete oxidation where the leaves are made to completely wither has 60-70% of tea.It has robust flavor.
(B) OOlong tea is the mid-level of Black and Green teas with a Caffeine level range < 60% but greater than 30%
(C) Green tea where the Camellia Sinensis leaves are partially withered and rapidly burnt thus undergoing less oxidation has around 30% of caffeine only.
Type 2 - This tea does NOT have Camellia Sinensis leaves.Hence, some people do not consider this as tea at all! It contains leaves of some healthy herbs and flowers.
With the basic introduction about the tea completed, I would like to share my experiences with the various tea products I tasted so far.
Lipton is the standard tea available all over USA. I tried Liption naturally decaffenated and it has a neutral flavor.
If you are a fan of lemon and ginger, you should get that flavor by StashTea if you want it robust. A mild version of the same flavor is available in Yogi Tea products. Thankfully, those flavors are available decaffeinated.
Recently, I have been taking Herbal tea which is totally free of caffeine. The organic african nectar by The MightyLeaf company has a flowery aroma with a naturally sweet taste.
